NSW:Two arrested over 1992 Bundeena murder

SYDNEY, Aug 2 AAP - Police have arrested two men over the murder of a Filipino woman
in Sydney's south almost 20 years ago.

The naked body of Pia Navida, 37, was found in scrubland near Bundeena, in the Royal
National Park, in February 1992.

Two weeks ago, detectives said new DNA technology had given them fresh leads, and on
Tuesday police arrested one man in NSW and another in Victoria.

A 40-year-old man was arrested at a house in Bathurst, in central western NSW, about
6.30am (AEST).

He is helping police with their inquiries.

A 40-year-old man was arrested by Victorian Homicide Squad detectives at a house in
Langwarrin, south-east of Melbourne, just after 7.15am (AEST).

He is expected to appear in the Melbourne Magistrates Court later on Tuesday, when
police will seek his extradition back to NSW.
