NSW: Police believe they have recovered murder weapon

Police may have recovered the weapon used to bludgeon a mother who was found murdered,
along with her two young sons, on the New South Wales south coast on Monday.

Detective Inspector PETER WOODS says police last night raided a home to look for the weapon.

But he won't reveal what was recovered in the search.

ALLISON PENROSE, aged 27 and her two young sons JAKE and TRAVIS CIKOS, aged 4 and 15
months, were found dead in their beds by the boys' father and Ms PENROSE's defacto husband,
SANDOR CIKOS.

Inspector WOODS says police are also investigating reports from neighbours that a loud
argument was heard at their West Dapto home on Sunday night.

Ms PENROSE's distraught father NORM has made an emotional appeal to help catch the killer.
