NSW: Police seize firearms, arrest three men

SYDNEY, April 28 AAP - Police investigating a series of shootings in the Cabramatta
area, in western Sydney, seized several firearms overnight in two separate incidents.

Strike Force Portville officers stopped a car in Liverpool and found a loaded .45 handgun,
balaclavas and gloves.

A 28-year-old Randwick man and a 17-year-old Greenacre youth were charged with conspiracy
to commit armed robbery, firearms offences and possession of prohibited articles.

Both men were refused bail.

The 28-year-old is to appear in Fairfield Local Court and the 17-year-old in Cobham
Children's Court today.

In a separate incident, police searched a car on Cabramatta Road, Cabramatta, shortly
after 9pm last night, seizing a handgun, sawn-off shotgun and ammunition.

An 18-year-old Bonnyrigg man was charged with several offences including possession
of a firearm and was bailed to appear in Fairfield Local Court on May 25.
